Unit 7:  External dynamics of the Earth                                      1   2   3

3. Landforms shaping

Landforms are natural physical features of the earth's surface, for example, valleys, mountains, or glaciers.

We can study the different landforms of the Earth according to the external geological agents that have shaped and modelled them.

3.1. Wind

Wind can erode, transport and deposit rock materials to change the landscape.

All the processes involving the wind are known as eolian processes.

Wind is the main geological agent in dry regions with not much vegetation.
